Ladybug Release!

Writer: Jenn BynoeJenn Bynoe

On Saturday, March 26th 2022 Little River Co-Op hoted a ladybug release in the demonstration garden at the PLK Estate.

Ladybugs are really important insects in the veggie garden because they eat aphids, one of the most tenacious pests. For the kids whom being covered in ladybugs sounded more like your a nightmare than a fun activity, the Litte River team organized a planting station for little gardeners could plant some sunflower seeds to take home. Little ones also got creative with plants, flowers and leaves by making SunPrints together in their Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services coloring books!
